You booked your appointment. You are excited. Now what?

Being ready for your appointment is as important as knowing what you want to get done. There is nothing more disappointing than arriving to the studio and realizing you are missing something important required in order for us to tattoo or pierce you. Here is a checklist to help make sure you are ready to go.

 
 
  • Masks are optional at Ritual Arts though some artist are still requiring their clients to wear one. Please, bring one with you.

  • If you would like a fully maksed experience please, let us know ahead of time and we will happily accommodate.

  • Bring valid Photo ID - This is a must . we are required to have this proof with your release form and will physically check too. Failure to provide this will result in having to reschedule and being charged a cancellation fee. you must be 18 to get tattooed. YOuth can be pierced with parental CONSENT. please read Minor piercing services for more info.

  • BE well Rested, Eat + hydrate before you arrive. this will make your session much easier.

  • BE Sober - We cannot perform your procedure if you are under the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed drugs.

  • Read over aftercare Instructions - It’s important to understand healing expectations prior to your appointment, such as working out, swimming, + sun exposure.

  • TAke care of your skin. We cannot tattoo you if you get a sunburn. If you come to your appointment with a sunburn in the area we are to tattoo, we will have to reschedule your appointment. This can result in paying a non-refundable cancellation fee.


We do not perform services on folks who are nursing or pregnant. The risk of infection, or allergic reaction ,though minimal, is not a risk our staff feel comfortable with. We are however excited to see you down the line!

If you are on antibiotics or blood thinners you will need to consult with your doctor prior to getting tattooed. Some medications can interfere with the healing process.

If you use an acne medication that has restrictions around getting waxed or sun exposure, generally we cannot tattoo you while on these medications. you will need to consult your doctor or pharmacist prior to booking.


WHAt is valid Id?

Valid Id is not to be EXPIRED. It also cannot have a hole punch through it. It must be GOVERNMENT issued, have a photo + your address on the card that can clearly be seen.


Acceptable identification include the following

  • Current Driver’s Liscence, permit,or ID card

  • passport or passport card with photo

  • Tribal Id card with photo and address

  • Citizen ID with Photo

  • PERMANENT resident card with photo

    We cannot make a copy of Military ID. Since Oregon State guidelines require we make a copy, we suggest using one of the above options.


Cancellation Policy for Body PIercing

We understand that situations arise where you may need to reschedule your appointment. we simply ask that you give us 24 hour notification and we will happily reschedule your appointment, and transfer your booking fee to your new appointment date.

Canceling without this notice or not showing up for your appointment will result in paying the REMAINDER of the service fee related to your piercing service.

Since all of our piercing services are by appointment arriving late can hinder our ability to have enough time to pierce you and still be on time for the folks scheduled after you. If you are more than 5 minuets late for your appointment this could result in cancellation to your appointment, resulting in a cancellation fee charge of the REMAINDER of the service fee .


Cancellation/deposit Policy for Tattooing

Tattoo artists do a TREMENDOUS amount of work on the back end of your tattoo service that they are not paid for until the services are rendered. If you do not show up for your appointment or you cancel unexpectedly this affects their LIVELY HOOD.

Deposits are taken to secure your tattoo APPOINTMENT. While deposits are non-refundable they can be TRANSFERRED to a new appointment date with the same artist, only if you give 48 hours notice. Deposits do go towards the cost of your tattoo.

Some artists may charge a drawing fee for large custom designs. This goes towards the many hours involved in designing custom pieces and is a service fee of its own. It does not go towards the cost of the tattoo.

Canceling with out 48 hours notice, coming to your appointment with a sunburn, Not having valid ID day of your appointment will result in a cancellation fee of your initial booking deposit. YOu will then need to pay a new deposit to book your next appointment.

We understand that things come up UNEXPECTEDLY and sometimes you cannot give proper notice. That is no problem, just reach out and let your artist know. They will happily reschedule for a later date and keep your INITIAL deposit. you will need to pay a new booking fee for that next appointment.
